Jaycees Week 2019


The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.
A one week long event " JAYCEES WEEK" has been one of the most empowering event organized by Patan Jaycees focusing the students and the community. This year as well, Patan Jaycees in collaboration with Nepal Anti- Tuberculosis Association (NATA), Lalitpur Branch has organized the Jaycees Week 2019

Program Details:

Day 1:Seminar on Tuberculosis and its Prevention
                           
On 23rd June 2019, Sunday at Health Promotion Center, Thecho, Opening ceremony of Jaycees Week 2019 under the coordinatorship of JC Binisha Khoshi followed by a seminar session about Tuberculosis and its prevention among the students of different schools around the area. Knowledge is power, a power that never goes in vain. On similar note, the first program for the Jaycees Week was seminar about Tuberculosis and its prevention which was facilitated by Ms. Sarita Awale (Resource Person from NATA) in which she enlightened the students about the disease and answered the queries from the students.
   
Day 2:Essay Competition

“Knowledge is power? No. Knowledge on its own is nothing, but the application of useful knowledge, now that is powerful.” On,24th June 2019, Monday was the 2nd Day of the Jaycees Week of Patan Jaycees. The program was an Essay Competition on the topic of “ The Role of Students in Prevention of Tuberculosis Disease)” among the students from different schools.

Day 3:Art Competition

Art is not what you see but what you make others see. On, 25 June 2019 was the 3rd Day of Jaycees Week organized by Patan Jaycess with NATA, was an Art Competition among the students. The mind and effort these students have put into, in such limited time is astonishing. Their creativity and vision is indeed captivating.

Day 4:First Aid Training

First Aid saves lives.Its for everyone, everywhere.On, 26th June 2019 was 4th Day of Jaycees Week which included a session of First Aid Training conducted by Divesh Karki, Resource Person, Red Cross Society for the students.

Day 5: Oratory Competition

“They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.”It is charm of the words, the way one presents and the essence that makes a getway to mind and soul. With the notion of building the capacity, on 27 June 2019, on 5th day of Jaycees Week, Patan Jaycees conducted the oratory competition on the topic of "Jaycees and Society" among the students from the different schools around the area at Health Promotion Center, Thecho, Lalitpur.
The Chief Judge for this program was our respected Past President, JC Arun Pal Baidya.

Day 6: EMCEE Training

On 28 June 2019, 6th day of Jaycees Week, Patan Jaycees conducted the EMCEE Training for the students from the different schools around the area at Health Promotion Center, Thecho, Lalitpur.
In this training was JC Harsha Man Maharjan was as a Chief Trainer (Past President JCI Kirtipur and Past Treasurer 2013, JCI Nepal.

Day 7: Award Distribution and Closing Ceremony

"Service to humanity is the best work of life."
On 29 June 2019, Saturday Patan Jaycees in collaboration with Nepal Anti-Tuberculosis Association, Lalitpur Branch had their Award Distribution and Closing Ceremony of Jaycees Week 2019. They had successfully conducted their Jaycees Week starting from 23 June 2019 to 29 June 2019, which included various types of programs for the motive of empowering and aware the students about Tuberculosis and its prevention and also self development.
It was a great honour to have Mr. Devendra Bahadur Pradhan, Chairman of Nepal Anti-Tuberculosis Association and Acting President, Mr. Rameshwor Thapa, Nepal Anti-Tuberculosis Association, Lalitpur Branch.
Also, it is a heartfelt gratitude towards all the resource persons, trainers and also students from different schools for their time, participation and involvement.
