In a bid to foster stronger parent-child relationships through understanding mental health, the Kanakai Municipality ward no.3 hall hosted an enlightening event titled "मानसिक स्वस्थ्य नै किन?" on the 28th of April, 2024, from 11am to 1:30pm. Organized by JCI Surunga, the event drew a diverse crowd, including students and parents.
Under the coordination of JCI Surunga's Community Sector Executive Vice President JC Pusparaj Dhakal, and chaired by President JC Durga Prasad Pathak, the event welcomed Chief guest, the ward chairman of Kanakai Municipality ward no.3, Mr. Yubaraj Chaulagain. Secretary General, JC Rishav Singh Chahar efficiently hosted the program.
The event commenced with a warm welcome speech and event briefing by Program Coordinator JC Pusparaj Dhakal, setting the tone for the insightful discussions ahead. The inauguration by the chief guest, marked by the reading of the banner, symbolized the commencement of an important dialogue.
JCI Surunga's P.R.O. JC Sarita Guragain recited the JCI Creed, reinforcing the organization's commitment to positive change. The spotlight then turned to Mental Health Consultant Mrs. Samali Mainali, who served as the chief speaker, shedding light on the vital role of mental health in parent-child relationships.
With 51 attendees present, the event's first phase of formalities concluded with closing remarks from President JC Durga Prasad Pathak, underscoring the significance of the dialogue initiated.
In closing, EVP JC Bibek Siwakoti expressed gratitude and officially concluded the event, emphasizing its central objective of fostering understanding and harmony between parents and children through heightened awareness of mental health issues.
