Banepa, Kavre – August 18, 2024 – In an effort to improve transportation safety and strengthen public trust in local bus services, JCI Kavre officially launched the opening program of its "Jaycees in Community" project, Project सक्रिय, at the District Traffic Police Office in Banepa, Kavre.
The initiative, aimed at raising awareness about public vehicle security, was inaugurated with a flyer presentation by various dignitaries, including Police Inspector Bikash Kumar Tamang, the In-charge of the District Traffic Police Office, Kavre. Also present were Rajaram Gautam, EVP of JCI Nepal, and Barna Shakya, President of Kavre Bus Pvt. Ltd, alongside other notable guests from the transportation sector.
The opening program successfully engaged the community, bus drivers, and traffic police officers in discussions about the importance of vehicle safety for passengers. As part of the event, more than 200 flyers were distributed and stickered on public buses throughout Kavre District, ensuring that the message of public vehicle security reached a wider audience.
“This project is part of our ongoing efforts to promote social responsibility and community development,” said JC Rikesh Sainju, President of JCI Kavre. “By raising awareness about public vehicle security, we hope to enhance safety and contribute to the prosperity of our community.”
The event was coordinated by JC Babin Shrestha, International Coordinator of JCI Kavre, and hosted by JC Sworup Shakya, the Secretary General. The program saw the participation of 28 people, including JCI Kavre members such as JC Nirjan Gautam, Executive Vice President, and other key leaders of the organization.
The initiative not only highlighted the significance of ensuring safety in transportation but also aimed to motivate bus drivers and local traffic police to collaborate for the well-being of the passengers. The District Traffic Police, local media, and public bus organizations were also involved, making this a true community-driven effort.
The Project सक्रिय event underscores JCI Kavre's commitment to community development, focusing on safety, awareness, and collaboration for the betterment of local residents.
