JCI Kavre and Banepa Junior Jaycees Host Virtual Event "ऊर्जा" on Freelancing and Self-Employment

In an effort to inspire and guide the younger generation towards freelancing and self-employment, JCI Kavre and Banepa Junior Jaycees jointly organized the virtual event Project ऊर्जा under the theme "Freelance Today, Self Employed Tomorrow." The event was held on the Zoom Online Platform and attracted over 35 participants, including JCI members and students, eager to explore the world of freelancing and entrepreneurship.

The event featured Singda Baral, Head of Business at MentorLab, and Subhrath Poudel, Co-founder of MentorLab, as the key speakers. Both experts shared valuable insights on the evolving freelance industry, offering practical advice on how participants could transition from freelancing to becoming self-employed entrepreneurs.

In addition to the speakers, the event was graced by prominent JCI figures, including Jc Rajaram Gautam, Assigned EVP of JCI Nepal, JCI Sen. Sumit Manandher, National Training Committee Secretary of JCI Nepal, Jc Rupa Joshi, President of JCI Bhaktapur, and Jc Ritesh Shrestha, President of JCI Lubhu. These guest speakers provided encouraging words, emphasizing the importance of innovation, self-reliance, and resourcefulness in the journey toward self-employment.

The event’s core aim was to empower participants with knowledge and ideas on how to build a successful freelance career and eventually move towards becoming self-employed. Through discussions on practical steps, time management, and leveraging skills in the online marketplace, attendees were encouraged to take initiative, invest their time and resources, and visualize their success in the freelancing world.
