JCI Kavre Hosts Cyber Crime Awareness Program for Students

Banepa, 5th September 2024 – JCI Kavre, in collaboration with JCI Kavre Lady and Banepa Junior Jaycees, successfully organized a Cyber Crime Awareness Program at Chaitanya Secondary School, Banepa. The event, which aimed to educate young students about the growing threat of cyber crimes, witnessed a participation of over 50 students.

The program featured prominent speakers and experts from the local police force. Laldhoj Subedi, the Banepa Ilaka Prahari (DSP), graced the event as the chief guest, highlighting the importance of understanding cyber security in the digital age. Mrs. Nishadevi Manandhar was the special guest, while JCI Sen. Sumit Manandher, National Training Committee Secretary for JCI Nepal, also attended the program as a guest. The session’s keynote speaker, Kabindra Ghimire, Sub Inspector at the Banepa Police Station, shared valuable insights on how to protect oneself from online threats and avoid becoming victims of cyber crimes.

The event was coordinated by JC Ameer Shrestha, a member of JCI Kavre, and was hosted by JC Rabina Sewacharya, the Secretary General of JCI Kavre Lady. JC Sabita Bajracharya, President of JCI Kavre Lady, officially adjourned the program.

The initiative brought together a variety of organizations, including JCI Kavre, JCI Kavre Lady, Banepa Junior Jaycees, Chaitanya Secondary School, and Banepa Police Station. Through this collaboration, the event provided an invaluable opportunity for young students to understand the risks associated with online activities and learn practical tips for staying safe on the internet.

The program was part of JCI Kavre’s ongoing efforts to empower and motivate local youth, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to navigate the digital world securely. JCI members, including President JC Rikesh Sainju, IPP JCI Sen. Sumit Manandher, Secretary General JC Sworup Shakya, and other active members, also attended the event, reinforcing the organization's commitment to community awareness and youth development.
